Starting our Saturday with a bang, and a cronut. Up early, we head over to the Temple Bar Food Market and browsed the bright and colourful food stalls.
We grabbed a chocolate cream filled cronut to power us to make our way back over to the Queen of Tarts for a slab of Guinness cake. It was good. I picked up this recipe to give the cake a try back home.
Today we were off the the Guinness Brewery, so a hearty breakfast was in order. We started the day walking the grey sidewalk in the rain until we hit Brother Hubbard, a little cafe inviting those cold, wet souls in from the sidewalk with baked goods, heat lamps, and a funky decor. We couldn’t decide on what to order from their Moroccan-influenced menu, so just ordered a pile of things.
We started with their Ginger scones, slathered in orange blossom butter and topped with a selection of jams: apple with a hint of clove, berry with rose and almond, and spiced marmalade.

Early start today, we rushed off to London Gatwick Airport to catch a quick flight over the pond to Dublin. Husni nabbed an interview at a high profile company in London so he had to stay behind, so Eric and I head over to Ireland to eat carbs and drink Guinness.
