My time in Melbourne is coming to a close, and Edward left for Tasmania today. We spent one last day in the city together. Biking around Albert Park Lake, we head towards a surprise lunch location.
I’d been booked in weeks before, but it wasn’t until we walked towards the tram restaurant stop that I put two and two together.
We dined on smoked salmon on avocado mousse, king island brie, and wines from regional Victoria while touring my beautiful, amazing city.
The second part of the surprise was a visit up Eureka tower to say goodbye to my city from above. I conquered my fear of heights to head out onto the glass floor deck.
We watched the sun set over the city. The day was bittersweet – our final one together for a long time, but also a beautiful and fitting farewell to the city that I call home.
